Default Parts of the episodes are CUT OUT!!!!!!

I think it sucks the way TV Land cuts out parts of the episodes!!!
I mean they might be insignificant parts BUT I guess I'm a stickler, I like to see the episode in it's ENTIRITY!

Default Lunch Table Scene

It seems "now days" when they show old shows they cut them to pieces, but back in the "good ol' days" of the 1980s when I watched them as a kid on TBS they showed the WHOLE episode in their ENTIRTY!

One of the scenes that I remembered from "My Son the Chimp"
was the "lunch table scene" from my childhood over 15 years ago, but that WHOLE scene was GONE!

And fonrtunatly I've been able to recieve the WHOLE series on VCD and the episodes and UNCUT!!!!!!!!In their entirity!

Me too!!! But I' d like to have a legitimate release of it with some commentary or something, like with other shows that are being put on DVD.

Default Its all in the timing

Unfortunately back when AF was made it was standard to have only 4-5min of ads and most shows were actually sponsored by single advertisers or maybe a couple.

Now a days there are more like 8 min in a half hours or 14-16 one hour shows.

There are two ways to deal with that time compression and editing. In AF they may have done both.

Watching then I see few signs of actual cuts, so they are at least done well.

Nick at Nite chops EVERYTHING they have up, it isn't worth watching anymore, unfortunately it is the ONLY station that plays the Addams Family. At least they brought it back on. I was angry that they took it off when they first aired it. Tv Land was supposed to be CLASSIC TV, now they put on Family Ties. How is that classic, maybe a NEO-classic, but not like Addams, or I love Lucy or Andy Griffith classic.

Does anyone know if there are Addams Family VHS, the only one I have is the Halloween Reunion.
