Default J.J was a grown man and took all his dates to McDonald's-LOL

You always heard J.J tell one of his girls-"Let's go get a Big Mac"

In the episode-Loss of Confidence, J.J tells Joanna, We can go out to dinner after i get home from Art School because Mcdonald's doesn't close until 11 o o'clock-LOL

BTW-was a BIG MAC the only Burger Mcdonald's sold in the mid 70's? That was the only Burger J.J mentioned.

Where should J.J. have taken his dates?

No, the Big Mac was not the only burger McDonald's sold in the mid 70's, it was just a popular one that got to be their trademark of sorts, just like Burger King and the Whopper.

He could have gone to a restarunt, not Mcdonald's

Where was he supposed to get the money to afford a date at a restaurant? Steal it from a supermarket?

His character just seemed to be oo old to take a female to Mcdonald's. Seem like that would be more suited for Michael.

That still doesn't answer the question of where he was supposed to get the money.

Solomon, I must admit I Do enjoy your threads, and always looks forward to them But besides that....Hell, if I went out on a date with someone who looked like JJ, and then he had the audacity to take me out to McDonalds on a date, I would had dumped his skinny ass faster than a New York Second, regarding that he was poor or not; it seems to me that JJ should had at least made some effort to take his date to a somewhat decent restraurant...instead of an inexpensive fast food place...

Once again, there is no answer for where J.J. was supposed to get the money for anything more expensive. If you criticize one way of doing something, you need to have an alternative suggestion. Did James have some extra supermarket loot stashed around the house that we didn't know about?

If he didn't have the money he shouldn't have been dating.

or another alternative, or a very nice gesture...if JJ had his dates over for a family dinner, instead of taking them out to McDonalds for a .50 cent hamburger...
