Anyone remember the short-lived sitcom Hi Honey I'm Home? it was the first sitcom to air on both a broadcast and cable network. The show focused on the fictious Nielsen family, relocated to suburbia after their sitcom got cancelled. They lived next door to the Duffs, a family headed by single mom Elaine her two sons Mike and Skunk.
Each episode featurd a guest appearance by a classic sitcom star. Gale Gordon appeared in the premiere episode and Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph appeared in another. One phrase Honey Nielsen always used where things were troubling was "Oh pooh!" |

Yes I remember this show very well. Nick at Nite aired it on Sunday nights at 8. I remember Eva Gabor and Eddie Albert each guest starred on separate episodes. "Hi Honey, I'm Home" was on for few months in 1991. I don't think they made very many episodes.

I remember it. Julie Benz who played the teenage daughter had that typical 50's 60's look. I thought everyone did a great job.
I would tune in to see what star from the past would appear. |
