Default TV Land Airing Wrong Opening Credits for Season 2?

I think that TV Land is airing the wrong opening credits for season 2 eps this weekend. The 2nd season opening credits, as I remember in the past, have a credit for Jackie Coogan when he appears blackened from having his picture taken. This same clip airs in both seasons, but the 2nd season is supposed to have the credit, IIRC, "Featuring Jackie Coogan" that appeared in the closing credits in season 1. He has no credit in the end credits in season 2, since his name appeared at the beginning, so he ends up w/ no credit at all in season 2 eps on TV Land. I hope someone at TV Land notices this oversight.

I don't know who is reponsible for this, TV Land or the distributor, MGM (I suspect the distributor). But it's very annoying. The credits for seasons 4 and 5 are "Cheers" are sometimes messed up as well. Kelsey Grammer gets an end credit in season 4 and is supposed to get opening credit in season 5, but the TV Land and Nick at Nite showings sometimes attach season 4 openings to season 5, and vice versa. And don't get me started on the variations of the "Laverne and Shirley" opening credits (Milwaukee era) that Lifetime doesn't use (TV Land didn't, either).

Lifetime messes up the cresits for golden Girls, there were actually three openings, the one with the full, song, the edited version and and the edited version with different scenes in the opening. the closing cresits are loused up too.

There is a VERY simple reason for this.... TIME.

Syndication has more commercial time than primetime ESPECIALLY 60's prime time which was about 2 min less per half hour.... so having a "Standard" opening makes the editing process easier. In AF the cast didn't change just the billing so they stuck with one.

Actually this is the reason for the SINPSONS having three distinct different openings... to make time fit the final show in Prime time, but in syndication it is always the short tiltle right to garage/couch versions.
