Post Okay, so this is a good show

I tried watching FOL a few months ago on N @ N. I really didn't see what the big deal about it was. I decided to give it another try this weekend. I figured that I may have caught a few bad episodes or such. I've been watching it this weekend and it really is a cool show.

Granted, I don't think it would've lasted very long if they didn't introduce the Jo character.

So who else had a change of heart about the show? I mean, did you start off hating the show and then you watched again and really liked it?

I wished I had recorded the marathon, but I didn't have enough tapes. I am taping the reunion though. I don't know how it will be without Nancy.

Btw, Nancy is a wonderful actress. I haven't seen her in many movies, but I did see her in The Tracey Thurman Story. That was a good movie, and she gave such a haunting performance in it.

Sorry this post was so long..

Thumbs up

Cool! I'm glad that you gave FOL a second chance, because it really is an awesome show.

The first time I saw it was during the first marathon N@N aired and I was unfortunate enough to catch the first season. I immediately decided I did not enjoy the show after seeing the first few episodes, and did not watch anymore of that particular marathon. However, I caught the second marathon and was fortunate enough to tune in to "New Girl." I LOVED it. I then searched the net, eventually found this site, talked to MANY devout fans, and begin recording the show.

As for thinking the show wouldn't have lasted long without Jo, I agree. Now that I go back and watch the first season, there are a few episodes I have learned to enjoy. However, I believe they had to many girls in the cast that first season and it was a smart move to let many if them go and to bring in a rough counterpart for Blair Warner. The constant conflict and relationship that was formed between Blair and Jo, in my opinion, was enough in that second season to give the show a boost. Once the second season ended and the characters were developed the writers had a field day there on out. I love how it all just kinda played out...

WOW! I'm terribly sorry for rambling like that, I don't know what got into me. Actually, I do, it was FOL!

I'm gonna shut up now. I'm just running on over drive because of the fandemonium and the reunion coming on in six hours!

...Back to my hole!
