Default DOOL actress being in new Dark Shadows

Days of our Lives star Alexis Thorpe, who played Cassie DiMera on DOOL, is on board as Dark Shadows 2004's 1st new characher, Kelly Greer. Nearly 24 years old, Thorpe also had 2 years of Y&R (Young and the Restless) in her past. And she has been in several movies including American Wedding.

Kelly is a friend and potential bad influence to Willie Loomis (Matt Czuchry) and there working together might might open the mausloeum door to what comes from the dark shadows within.

Just so you know, the Dark Shadows project is Dead. The WB did NOT pick it up.

Wow, I didn't know that. It's a good thing too. Dark Shadows was great in its time and should just be left alone, especially after the last pitiful attempt at a revival.

The project isn't completely dead yet. It's still being shopped around to other networks by Warner Brothers Entertainment.

It's a shame it didn't get picked up. From the reviews I've read, it seems like it was very well written and acted with top-notch production values.

Usually when they say that its just a nice way of saying that the project hasn't been picked up and is dead. We must have read different reviews because the few i've read have said that the project looked really bad and was not worth wasting our time.

DS '04 is being shopped around to other networks by Dan Curtis. In everything's he's said he seems pretty confident; hopefully they'll be able to sell it to some network...DS '91 didn't sell originally either and it got on the air and had pretty good ratings at first until the Gulf War broke out. One of the key reasons WB didn't pick it up is because they're going away from that genre and away from big budget ventures since so many others have bombed big time...

I haven't read anything bad about DS '04. *shrugs* On the contrary, I've read only really good things about all aspects of it from people who have seen it...wonderful production, great actors, great writing... The only bad things I've heard about this project at all (other than that they shouldn't try to tamper with it...) is from Angel fans who felt like the WB wanted to replace DS with it. -_-

not meaning to knock you guys or nobody, but this is how i feel about remakes. if something is SO good it has to be remade, then why not just show the one that is SO good and forget about it?
i mean, it's like dvds. networks quit showing older shows because they want to create their own shows (by a lot of times remaking established shows) and they claim that people don't watch the older shows and they lose ratings. that's funny. considering how all these complanies are putting so many tv shows from way back when out on dvd in season sets. they must be making money or they wouldn't be making them. looks like somebody likes the old shows.
