Post Reactions to "The Source"

What were your reactions to the "controversial" episode, called The Source. Nick at Nite previously hadn't aired it. I watched it and personally, almost all the episodes of All in the Family were more controversial than this episode.

What did you think of this episode?

I was thinking the same thing. It didn't seem like it was a controversial episode to me and I wondered why nick at nite didn't show those controversial episodes of FOL or DS and they did with other shows.

I agree! I thought they were going to talk more about the actal subject of abortion because I'd heard it was so "controversial". I didn't think it was too controversial.

I can't believe they didn't show "Braking Point"! Or Dope! They said they would! I saw it!!! And who said "The Source" was "controversial"??? That was a top-notch episode! My BIRD is more controversial that that episode! And what do they have agaist suicide episodes? The lessons they teach can help many, many people deal with their problems!!! This whole controversial thing is a load of.... well.... It is illogical! I feel like hitting someone!

Have a nice day.

Yea. but you have to take into consideration that TVLand edited out the conversation between Mr. Parker and Natalie (mrs. g was also in the room) it took place right before Jo, Blair, and Tootie came barging in sayign "We heard everythign Nat" Mr. Parker talks about how he is very conserned about this girl and that he wants to know who she is so he can help her out. He feels that her abortion may have caused some damage to her or something. they also cut out a part in the bedroom between Annie and Nat when Annie was telling Natalie about how she decided to have the abortion and not have the baby. So they cut out all of the parts talking about abortions. There were a lot of things that NaN/TVLand cut out... it was all the basic dealing with the actual abortion part of it. That is why it didn't seem so contraversial.
