The Jeffersons, inspired by characters created on All in the Family, have left Bunkerville for midtown New York and their own series. The Jeffersons new affluence is creating marital mayhem between Louise and George, especially when George insists Louise hire a maid to take care of their new Manhattan high-rise apartment. Not only does Louise reject the idea of having a maid, she's also upset by George's snobbish reasons for wanting one.
8:30 p.m. #55, "Louise vs. Jenny"
The trouble with being a mother-in-law is that you start acting like one is the lesson Louise learns the hard way when she and Jenny start fighting over Lionel.
9 p.m. #56, The Marriage Counselors
After learning that Tom and Helen are taking a course on how to improve their marriage, and seeing their results, Louise tries to get George to take the course with her. However, George refuses to consider the possibility that their marriage could use improvement.

When Louise finds out about a new clause in George's will, she almost gives him cause to use it.

TV Land looks back at all the monuments it has created and unveils its fourth monument, this time in Chicago, honoring Bob Hartley (Bob Newhart) of The Bob Newhart Show, which opens on Tuesday, July 27. Past monuments inclue Ralph Cramden in New York City, Mary Richards in Minneapolis, and Andy & Opie in North Carolina.

Anyway, not too bad. I need to give it a harder look, but from what I can tell, Bob Newhart only on Saturdays and Sundays? The show expires at the end of August, doesn't it?

Nice to see Three's Company four times a day.

But UGH, why Kids Say? That's such a stupid addition, LOL. Oh well, at least it's only on at 3:30am.

And wow, Carol Burnett now on three times. Brady Bunch twice is good. All in all, a decent schedule, but I'd probably only change the Kids Say thing and replace it with another Happy Days and then the 3rd Carol I'd put a Bewitched repeat. That would be a little better, lol.

The schedule just came in early this morning. Yes, Bob Newhart just Saturdays and Sundays; I guess they are airing it for the last time, unless they renew it after August.

Happy Days is just once, 2:30 AM.

Yeah, as I was going over the schedule I just noticed HD only once. I taped all of Brady Bunch so I don't really watch that or HD anymore.

It's not a bad schedule, actually. What do you think Pav?

I like it. Lots of variety and no Twice as Nice. Three's Company is doing really well -- on four times. Great to see Mr. Ed and Bob Newhart back and Bewitched at a respectable slot.

"Cheers" in only two slots is a good thing. Me and some friends were talking last night about how it has 4 slots on both NAN and TVLand, and how it should be taken off TVLand ocmpletely. "Family Ties" deserves at least three slots, and some good slots too. Great to see TC has 4 slots, but I hope they bump it down to three in August, because I don't want people to start saying they hate TC cause it's overplayed. Great to see "Bob Newhart" back, if only on Saturdays and Sundays. "Kid Say" doesn't much bother me because it's on so late. I think it might just be holding a slot for something else, maybe? "Flip Wilson" has some good slots. I can't wait to see it.

I'm going to miss the Kitschen, but not all too much. It went to hell when they started airing too many superhero shows in it, and then the Krofft shows ruined it. I miss the old Kitschen when it was just hard-to-find sitcoms that are hardly ever seen anymore. The first schedule was two "Mary Hartman" episodes followed by "Fernwood 2-Night" and "The Monkees." I miss MH for sure....

And one more thing: TVLand could have had something great with the Fandemonium 48-hour things. The Fandemoniums should only have been for shows that TVLand owns, but are not on the regular schedule. And then, of course, if a show is reaching a milestone anniversary or a cast member dies or something like that.

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised.

~ Nice to see "Mister Ed" back on
~ Great to see "Bewitched" during daylight again
~ I'm LOVING the "Lucy" and "DVD" at noon - great for lunchtime!
~ Late Afternoon/Evening lineup is a little weak but i'll never be home than anyway
~ Only one airing a day for "Addams Family"?
~ Sad to see "Happy Days" benched to 2:30AM only
~ No reason for "Three's Company" 3 times between 7 and midnight
~ "Kids Say..." is kinda random on there
~ Even though it's only weekends, it'll be nice to see "Bob Newhart" again

Awesome. TVLand's been so boring this past month with all the double takes. Maybe it was getting low ratings? I wouldn't doubt it. Who wants to see four episodes of Green Acres, Andy Griffith, and Leave it to Beaver all in a few hours? Not me. Now we've got some variety. TC is perfect at 7 and 7:30. It means I can watch it again instead of choosing between that and Roseanne. Cheers should just leave TVLand since it's already on N@N 4 times. Family Ties should have gotten an earlier slot in the afternoon or early evening, preferably the 11PM slot when TC is on, instead of getting pushed back farther and farther into late night. Glad to see AITF and SAS back on at an earlier time. Kids Say I don't care because it's on so late. But overall, MUCH BETTER scedule than the past two months.

I don't think TC on 4 times a day is so horrible, but I think they could either move a 7 or 7:30pm airing or an 11:00pm airing and air Family Ties in one of those slots. I think a few changes could be made to the schedule. The fact is, TV Land will air shows that do well for them in the good slots, while shows that don't pull in the ratings will get bumped. It's a fact we have to live with, unfortunately. At least, as I've always said, Family Ties is still on. I'd rather it be on at a lousy time than not on at all. At least it can be taped.

Surprisingly, I actually like this schedule. The last few haven't been all that great.

--- I'm happy about the disappearance of Twice as Nice.
--- I wish they'd get rid of Gunsmoke or at least one of the two airings. Not a fan of Westerns. Besides, it's already been on for 8 years.
--- Too much Bonanza. I can understand 2 airings since it's new, but 3?
--- I'm glad Mr. Ed is back. I'm not a big fan of it, but it didn't seem like it was on very long.
--- I'm looking forward to The Flip Wilson Show.
--- I'm happy The Bob Newhart Show is back, even if it's only on weekends.
--- I'm glad The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver don't air as often.
--- Aw, I wish The Addams Family still had a second slot. I can understand why they did that though, with them only having two seasons and all.
--- Not as much Green Acres! Yay. I like the show, but it was on too much before.
--- I'm happy about all of the slots Three's Company has, although I'm biased.
--- The appearance of Kids Say on the schedule is puzzling, but I don't mind it that much since it's not in a good slot.
--- I won't miss the KitSchen. I liked it when it first started with Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and The Monkees, but it's gone down the drain since then, IMO.
--- I'm glad the 48 hour marathons are gone. It's cool when your favorite show is in it, but it can get boring when it's a show you don't like (such as June's Gunsmoke and Bonanza marathons for me).

I say get rid of Gun Smoke,The Waltons,Bonanza,and McGyver.The only non comedy ones I would like to see are Charlie's Angels & Stasky & Hutch.We would all be better off with those gone
