Hello All!
I am trying to locate ANY information about an episode I saw a while back. I was hoping some of you may remember, as I know it was a disturbing story. It is the episode that featured a Jamaican man with a disfigured hand (described as "claw like"), wanted for raping and beating a young woman with a hammer. She survived but he had not been captured. I am looking for the episode, so that I may obtain a composite sketch or photo of that assailant (I'm not sure of the proper spelling, but I believe they called him "Wadada"). I am not nuts, but this story was so disturbing to me that everytime I've seen a man with dreadlocks since, my eyes go right to the hands. There is this man with dreadlocks that has been working at a new store in our local mall, and I had tried many times to see his hands and never had any luck until this past weekend. This man has a disfigured hand, on the right side. I'm not sure what hand was disfigured on the assailant, but it's really bothering me. I have searched the web to no avail, and I would like to put my mind at ease! I'm sure it's a longshot that he would actually be the guy, but it does not hurt to be sure. Thank you in advance for any input or ideas you may have! |

The worst that could happen if you contact the authorities is that they discover he is not "Wadada." But the very worst you can do is nothing. Don't put it off so long that by the time you decide to call the authorities, the man in question is suddenly gone. (It happens.) In other words, don't wait until it's too late. |

It's been awhile since I've seen this episode, but I do seem to remember seeing his name spelled like this:
Woydada, and once even like this: Wojdada. I can't find those sites anymore though. And I also agree you should report this, if you're scared, you can ask to remain anonymous. At the least, they will find him and interview him. If it isn't him, you'll have peace of mind that this isn't the guy and you don't have to be scared, and if it is, he needs to be taken out of the mainsteam of society. |

Also if I'm not mistaken the victim was raped. If they were able to get a DNA sample and compare it to the DNA found on the victim, they would be able to conclusively exonerate or convict the man. So there's really no risk, you can always report it to the police anonymously.
