This has not been confirmed yet, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com, but they've been showing it around to the distributers for the last couple of weeks.

The other week we were very happy to bring you this news about the coming of Laverne & Shirley - The Complete 1st Season on DVD.

Now we have some cover art to show you. We're not sure if this is the final cover art that Paramount is going to use for this release, but the studio has been showing it to their distributors for the past couple of weeks. They have not distributed it to press yet, but we managed to obtain the shot below. We've enhanced the picture with black lines along the edges to make the white box stand out on the white background, but that was our only adjustment. Have a peek:

As we reported, Aug. 17th is the day this hits stores, with 3 discs featuring all 15 of the show's episodes from Season 1. It includes "Bowling For Razzberries," named by TV Guide as a classic episode, in which an under-the-weather Laverne abandons her sickbed in order to take on a snooty rival in a bowling tournament. That was a great one! If we find out anything more about this set, or if the cover art changes, we'll be sure to let you know.

I can't wait!!! This year looks like it's going to be an expensive one for DVD sets.

You're right, it is! I already bought with a little over a month, Cheers 2 & 3 seasons, and Frasier first season!

No kidding. FOUR sets I want are coming out in a two-week period, starting next week.

I better wait, tho, July'll be a dead month for me so I can finish off the other 2 I want. Then August and September will be busy ones for me. October- dead again (so far).

I've already brought Cheers Season 2 & 3 (I don't have 3 yet, though), Three's Company Season 2, SBTB 1&2 and 3&4 and Freaks & Geeks, the complete series...
