Wink Wendy Camp

Hey does anybody remember the story of a woman that had MS, and lost custody of her son to her ex-husband, then one day she was aloud to see him, so she, her young daughter, and sister-in-law went to go see the boy and then they dissapeared on the way back home, and the ex husband and his mom and grandma are all suspects? Was this case ever solved?

Yes, I remember that story. As a matter of fact, it came on today. There was just something about the ex-husband in which rubbed me the wrong way. Wendy's mother made it clear on UM that she didn't trust him, his mother, nor his grandmother.

I forgot to mention that her husband did also.

Sadly, the answer is no.

Here is a profile of Wendy Camp's daughter, Cynthia Britto, who disappeared along with her and Lisa Kregear (Wendy Camp's sister-in-law/Cynthia's aunt) in 1992. It includes a computer-enhanced photo to show how Cynthia may currently appear at the age of 18. She was born in 1986, so she was only six years old when she disappeared.

This is one of my all time favorite UM stories. It is so interesting. I absolutely think the ex-husband killed all 3 of them, that it was premeditated and that is why he called her that day after refusing to let her see Jonathon for months then all of a sudden relenting. I also think the mother of the ex was in on it too, I'm not sure about the grandma. What I don't understand is when Robert Stack says that 3 months after they went missing a woman who knows the family claims to have seen the little girl, Cynthia, and the police think the sighting is credible! I'd like to know more about the circumstances of the sighting because its hard to believe she's out there when no trace of her mother or aunt have ever been found.

I agree with everyone here and what was also infuriating a was the hateful ex-grandmother-in-law who did nothing but dis Wendy the last time she was with her family in all but words blamed WENDY for her own disappearance and didn't even slightly attempt to hope Wendy, her daughter and sister-in-law would be okay! If she didn't directly participate in it, she certainly didn't seem to be unhappy that something bad might have happened to these three!

That segment marked the first and only time I ever heard someone say the word 'bitching' on the show, which was uttered by that grandmother-in-law, who I agree seemed like a miserable unsympathetic old woman.

The son, mother and grandmother were all probably involved. Chad and Beverly Nole's alibi is BS.

And why his mother declined the interview is beyond me. Guilt maybe? Who knows. Chad and his grandmother seemed more concerned about maintaining their innocence than they were about the disappearances.

That's another thing. It gives the impression she had something to hide.

LOL...I wasn't sure which case this was until Composite Sketch mentioned the grandmother's language on the show. Then I knew exactly which one it was.

I'm almost certain that foul play was involved in Wendy Camp's disappearance. If Wendy had indeed been dropped off at a Walmart, why didn't she phone her husband? If she didn't have any money, I'm sure someone in the store would've let her use a phone, and Wendy could've called her husband. It just doesn't make any sense. I'm sure Wendy's ex-husband wanted her out of his and their son's life. What a sicko.

Supposedly he was overheard bragging that he killed all three of them but the bodies would never found.

I agree with all of you who feel the creepy ex-husband and his family had something to do with Wendy's disappearance. I also think this segment is a great example of what UM did best...bringing us totally believable re-enactments of the cases they are profiling. I haven't seen this segment in awhile (missed the most recent broadcast) but I remember in the past thinking how true-to-life it seemed when they were showing Wendy interacting with her ex-inlaws. UM did such a terrific job of matching actors and actresses to fit the real life people (well, most of the time anyway) and the attention to detail...especially when they were showing cases from the 50's and 60's always impressed me.
