Default Least favorite season

We all have our favorites, but what is everyone's least favorite Cheers season?

While I like the whole series, I'd have to say season seven was my least favorite.

Season 10 (well the first half)

I never was a fan of Rebecca, and having her and Sam trying to have a baby together took up far too many episodes (especially considering they're my 2 least favorite characters)

But the second half of the season was great with One Hugs The Other Doesn't (Nanny G) and An Old Fashioned Wedding Parts 1&2 (as slapstick as the series ever got)

Season 6 - 11. I am a Diane fan. I respected Rebecca at first, she was a strong business woman. Then next thing I know all she could do was gripe. I am going to stop buying Cheers after season 5.

I'm the exact opposite, I am going to start buying them after season 5. I am a huge Rebecca fan over Diane.

I like the Rebecca years a lot, but I do agree that storyline was not the best. It was a really dumb idea and it did take too long to disappear.

Season 3 is one of my least favorite seasons, but I bought it anyway, because it's still good. Let's remember that the worst seasons of Cheers were better than anything on TV today.

I didn't like the whole baby idea either. 10 was my least favorite.
And since people were talking about it I'm gunna buy every season. I like the show for the ensamble cast not just for one particular person so I'm buying them all.

You make a good point. The show was only as good as the ensemble cast. But I think the chemistry within the cast significantly changed after Diane left - her character was central to the show (though her character did become kind of overbearing in her later seasons - I don't know how much longer it could have gone). The point is that Diane was the perfect foil for Sam - Rebecca, not so much. Diane could really make Sam think, and nobody could annoy the hell out of him like she could. Rebecca also didn't challenge his playboy behavior like Diane did. It was even different with Carla, since she and Rebecca actually became pretty close. So I don't watch it just because of Diane. Actually, as I pointed out somewhere else, the brilliance of Diane's character mostly depended on the reactions of the other characters - it obviously wasn't only about her. I just enjoy the ensemble cast better when Diane was part of the equation. It got even better when Frasier joined. Plus, I don't know how much more I can spend on these dvds!!

I'm opposite I think the writing and the cast chemestry went up once Rebecca came on. When Diane was on it seemed too much like she was the absolute star of the show. Like you said she seemed overbearing. When Rebecca came on it seemed more like each member of the cast mattered a lot more.

About the money I'm broke too don't worry. I don't know where I'm gunna get the money!
