When was the point in your life when you knew you were a fanatic ? Before I posted this topic I watched Endless Slumper. You know many shows have bad first seasons but Cheers was good from the 1st season to 11th!!

to be honest, I never realized I was a fanatic till the finale episode on NBC. I was obsessed with it leading up to that final episode.

I realized I was a fanatic when my friend yelled at me to stop talking about Cheers so much.

Well, being one of the few who grew up during the actual run, Cheers was an ok show. I stopped watching in 87 (got cable in my room, I became an HBO junkie) and two years went by before I started watching repeats. Around '92, knowing I'd be dead tired for school in the morning, I would faithfully watch the 11 o' clock rerun. That's when I knew I loved it and it was my favorite, being able see how funny they were on a daily basis, instead of just once a week. But even in repeats, I hate seasons 1 and 2. After Frasier it got a little better, after Woody it was perfect.

I remember watching the actual run in the early 90s. I was young - I liked it but didn't love it. I started to love Cheers when I watched the first few years - the Diane years. Then over the years I ended watching all of the episodes of the first half of the series - and most from the later years. I realized I was a fanatic last year - when I actually stayed up every night to watch Cheers on n@n till 2 in the morning. I, on the other hand, love the first two seasons.

Oh, all those nights staying up until two in the morning! But that's about when I realized it too. I've watched it for three years now, and after just a couple episodes, I was hooked.
Although, I did see my first episode when I was 3...

I used to watch Cheers on reruns after school when I was little, but I'm a recent fanatic...I've always loved Shelley Long, and I just decided to watch it back in March of this year, heehee! My mom got me watching Becker since late last year, and I thought I'd give Cheers another try!

Sam & Diane forever...(I've always been a Sam & Diane fan! That's for LIFE!)

Last spring when N@N was airing Season 11, it came time for the finale to air, and for 2 nights.... I went over to my grandparent's to watch it because the cable in our area went out.
After that, Ive never looked back.
Got the DVDs.... and havent stopped watching since.

I become a fanatic about the same time that I did for Family Ties--when I managed to watch a lot of both shows after they came to N@N. Now I have to have both shows.
