Default Did You Know?

I already posted this over at the SBTB: Now forum, but here it is for you guys as well:

Did you know that...

...the Max was going to be called Milo's but T.K. Carter wanted too much money so they didn't cast him on SBTB.

...Nikki was going to be our "Kelly" in SBTB but Heather's mother wanted her to be paid as much as Mark-Paul so she didn't continue with the show.

...when shooting a lot of the episodes they shot 1 full episode and 1/4 of another episode at a time to save money.

...when Dennis Haskins did a cooking show that was suppose to take you inside celebrities homes, he borrowed his publicist's home since his was so dirty.

...Dennis Haskins would like a reunion like the show Cheers, because he thinks the characters are too old to play their characters now.

...Dennis wishes he could've been on the College Years somehow, perhaps being the Dean. He said that they did it on Boy Meets World with Mr. Feeny, so why couldn't he be brought back?

...when the cast moved onto the College Years they made around 5-6 times as much as they did on the Original.

...Dustin got the numbers of all the extras partly because none of the girls from the main cast would date him.

...they brought on the character of Tori so they could have 100 episodes (including Miss Bliss) so that it could be ran in syndication.

...when Dennis and Dustin went to the White House, they were told not to take pictures but Dustin went ahead and took pictures. (they never came out) And Dustin teamed up with a security guard and he told him he had to go to the bathroom so the guard let him go to Mr. Clinton's bathroom and Dustin said there were books from Jefferson, etc. back there.

...at the time of the Nope Hope with Dope episode, Mario wanted to go out with Tiffani the same time she was dating Eddie Garcia (Johnny Dakota) so it was really tense on the set at that time.

As you probably already guessed, I got all of this information from the day I went to see Dennis' SBTB presentation.

Very interesting... thanks for posting!... I really appreciate you sharing all of your new information.

BTW, did they want Heather Hopper to play "Kelly Kapowski," or just bring back the entire "Nikki" character? IMO, it would of been dumb to have an actor from GMMB play an entirely different character in SBTB.

The Kelly role, but not the name Kelly...you know? Yes, it would have been dumb considering she was more like Jessie in GMMB. But the other actors changed in a way too. Screech wasn't near as geeky, Lisa wasn't quite "Lisa" lol, and Mr. Belding wasn't quite as silly as in SBTB. They could've gradually changed her, but I don't know....they did change states and Zack's family so it's very possible LOL

I'm just glad Tiffani played Kelly and we had Elizabeth as Jessie. The show wouldn't have lasted as long otherwise, and I probably wouldn't be the fan I am.

I will listen to my tape again, he mentioned something about him, but I don't really remember. That's just the tip of the iceberg of all the facts he gave.

How do we know that Dennis Haskins actually said any of this stuff? Anyone could just make up this stuff...

Umm if you read the reunion thread I have actual footage from the presentation....I can post clips of him saying this if you'd like. Thanks, but next time you should be a little nicer about this.

...here's the clip I was talking about above: http://home.comcast.net/~sbtbcorner/dennisvisit01.wav

...BTW There's about 2 more hours of the presentation and that's just 10 minutes of it.

But I understand you not believeing me, it's hard to believe anyone over the internet, but there's no need to be rude. OK? Hopefully hearing that clip will change your mind, and if not I don't know what will. I promised everyone if they wanted to hear more that I would post more of it. I just don't have the space online to put the whole presentation and I don't think you want to download a huge file...those 10 minutes are about 12MB, think of what 120 minutes would be. But I hope you enjoy it though...

I'm very sorry for doubting you. It's just that your story sounded made-up. I should not have been so rude. Again, I apologize and I will download the video from your website. Thanks for making it available to us. Again, I truly am sorry

...It's just a sound clip, I wasn't able to sneak in a video camera...but I would've had video if I could though.

Like I said, it's easy to not believe people over the internet, so you are forgiven. I had pictures taken with him but I have yet to finish off the role and get them developed. The goal for after my graduation is to get the pictures developed. But thanks for apologizing! It's appreciated.

When did this happen? On the show or in real life??? I dont remember them going to the White House. Was this in the New SBTB?

...when Dennis and Dustin went to the White House, they were told not to take pictures but Dustin went ahead and took pictures. (they never came out) And Dustin teamed up with a security guard and he told him he had to go to the bathroom so the guard let him go to Mr. Clinton's bathroom and Dustin said there were books from Jefferson, etc. back there.

It wasn't an episode. He means in real life, Dennis and Dustin (Not Mr.Belding and Screech), were invited to the White House.

Another interesting tidbit.

"...the Max was going to be called Milo's but T.K. Carter wanted too much money so they didn't cast him on SBTB."

I dont buy the whole money story. I remember T.K. stating somewhere (can't remember the publication) that he clashed with Engel over creative differences and that he wanted to take a more active role in producing the show. T.K. wanted the show to be more "off color' while Engel wanted the show to be more "slapstick and zany". T.K. thought of the show as being too "white". It is a shame that race probably played an issue in the demise of Milo. I thought he was one hell of an actor.

That maybe the case, but I am just repeating what Dennis said.

Oh, I know. Maybe Dennis just didn't want to make Peter sound bad since there was press there too and you know how things can leak...maybe it's something that's left in the past and they don't want to bring it back up.
