Default Carsey/Werner looking for a DVD distributer

from TVshowsonDVD.com, there's an article about an upcoming Bill Cosby standup DVD, but it also points out that Carsey/Werner is currently looking for a distributer. I know most people here just love (ha) Cosby Show, but there's quite a few other series that C/W owns rights to that a lot of people may want on DVD from the past 20 years, including Roseanne, A Different World and Third Rock From The Sun.

I think everyone here is going to start saving up, because it said the article confirmed that Cosby Show IS coming to DVD once a distributer is chosen and I know how it's everybody's favorite show that they can't get enough of

I would totally buy seasons 1-5 of The Cosby Show. I'd also buy seasons 1-8 of Roseanne. Here's hoping it works out.

if Roseanne is inexpensive (about the same price as Friends or Three's Company), I'd buy season 9 anyways, because Nick won't air the Roseambo episode

I heard there is concern that a Roseanne release would hurt syndication ratings.

I think the concern is unfounded, though. Friends still does very well in syndication.

yep, Three's Company is doing great so far on TV Land as well, and 90% of the episodes they aired during their overnight marathons were seasons 1 and 2 episodes, both of which are out on DVD

I noticed TVShowsonDVD said Home Improvement's coming to DVD by year-end, wasn't that a Carsey/Werner show also?

No, "Home Improvement" is owned by Disney.

I'd also buy season 9. Even though it is pretty bad (I guess that could be an understatement), I do actually like a few of the episodes, and I'd like the whole series on DVD.

I agree, I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I actually like season 8 and 9, I didn't when they were on ABC, but in retrospect, especially when you know 9 was all a fantasy, I think it's rather good. I don't think it compares to the golden era (4-6) of the show, but I would say I like both seasons better than season 7, and I would certainly rather take seasons 8 and 9 to 95% of what's on television now

The Cosby Show would be one I would pick up, for sure.

I'd buy both "Grace Under Fire" and "Townies".
