Default The Sopranos the motion picture

A friend of mine who works on the show says that David Chase is in negotiations to make a Soprano movie after next years final season.

I would love to see a feature film. Since there's only one season left, they had better not bump off the majority of the cast. I figured it would be a bloodbath.

I wish there was more than one more season to look forward to. I think the show still has a lot to offer. They have their fair share of misfires, but when they hit, it's a bullseye.

What the heck are we gonna do with our Sunday Nights when "The Family" is gone.

I will definitely be buying the seasons on DVD.

Default The DVD seasons are great . . .

That's how I got to watch the Sopranos--on the season dvd sets--because we don't have HBO. If they do a movie, I wish that they would do a "retro" sort of thing. In other words, go back to the first or second season because a lot of the great characters are already dead or gone. I liked the first and second seasons the best so far. Three wasn't bad but, IMHO, it was OK. Four was a bit of a let-down for me. But Season Five has been better than season Four, IMHO. A movie would be awesome.

It is "gone" most of the time. I wish we didn't have to wait so long between seasons.

Is a Sopranos movie really necessary? I mean, anything that could be done in a movie can be seen on HBO. Plus, the show even extended itself to a sixth season in order to utilise all of the ideas its writers had that couldn't end it in only five seasons. In a way, the whole six years is like one big serial movie. This remarkable show began on TV and it should conclude on TV.

Personally, I think it would be interesting to see a movie made of the "earlier" years of the Sopranos when they were all younger. In other words, I enjoy when they show "flash-back" scenes showing when Tony was a little boy and it shows Johnny and Uncle Junior when they were younger. To me, a "flash-back" sort of thing would make a good basis for a Sopranos movie but it probably wouldn't sell that well to the general public. They would want to base it off of interest in the characters that are in ths Sopranos currently (e.g., Tony, Carmella, etc.) Still, I would love to see a Sopranos movie.
