if ratings for the 13 episode half-season next year are a drastic improvement on this season, would there be a chance at it coming back?

That's a good question. You would think so, but who knows with the way things go behind the scenes.

I would say Yes, Dear is history after the 13 episodes that will air sometime during the 2004-2005 season.

Becker averaged decent ratings this past season with their 13 episodes, but it still got canned in January 2004.
