What is your favorite 1980's movie song? Mine is "Flashdance...What A Feeling" by Irene Cara. Flashdance was one of the first movies my parents took me to see (though at seven years old I WAS probably too young in all honesty) and the movie still holds a special place in my heart.

I voted for What A Feeling too. I too saw Flashdance when I was 7 for the first time, but it was the butched up NBC version
I loved several songs on this list tho |

St. Elmo's Fire, but it could have to do with my love for the movie.

Not sure if you just mean movie themes or songs from movies, but either way there's a ton of stuff not mentioned in the poll, most noticeably (to a Prince fan) no mention of anything from Purple Rain, or Under The Cherry Moon (Kiss). Also, how about Irene Cara's Fame, Madonna's Into The Groove, Live To Tell or Who's That Girl, It's My Turn from Diana Ross or Up Where We Belong from Cocker/Warnes. Against All Odds?

"A View to a Kill" - Duran Duran. Only James Bond song to go to number 1.
Okay, so it was a given I'd name that one. I love a lot of others from the list though. |

Flashdance is OK, but I have to give higher marks to How Do You Keep the Music Playing from Best Friends with Burt Reynolds and Goldie Hawn, Up Where We Belong, Arthur's Theme (the Best that You Can Do), Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now) and I Just Called to Say I Love You (from the Woman in Red).
Other decent ones: Let's Hear it For the Boy (Footloose), Say You Say Me (White Nights), Give Me the Reason (Ruthless People) and Looking for Love (Urban Cowboy) |

I picked "Power of Love." Because I love Huey Lewis and the News and Back to the Future is my favorite movie!
