in which episode did this quote come from:
Ross yelling "PIVOT!!!!" over and over when they were trying to move a couch up a flight of stairs and Chandler going "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP". I can only remember this scene and nothing else about the episode.

That was in episode #113 (Season 5), The One With The Cop. The rest of the episode has to do with Phoebe finding a badge belonging to a police officer named Gary (played by Michael Rapaport) whom she later dates for a few episodes.

That scene with the couch is one of my favorite Friends moments.

I still crack up at the 'Pivot' scene everytime I see it. Then after the couch gets stuck, Chandler asks "What did you mean by 'pivot'?"

They should've gotten Monica to help. Remember she is freakishly strong!!
