Hi,

I am looking for the episode where Oprah announced her big weight loss with Optifast and was thin. It was in 1988.

If anyone has it, please let me know.

Here's a suggestion:

try contacting one of the many optifast clinics. Back in the 80's they used this tape as a recruitment tool.

They suckered my mom into it. She lost the weight. Along with her hair and gall bladder. Then from being bed ridden for 3 months because of the gangrenous condition of her gall bladder, she gained a lot of the weight back.

You know, I really don't remember. I was in high school. We had to go because they felt we needed to know what we were getting into with our family member.

A large group of the patients all lost their gall bladders and got together and sued (and won) but they denied my mom because a few years earlier she had been examined for gall bladder pain, so they said she was a pre-existing case.

I don't remember it being a professionally done video. I just thought they showed the show, but I'm not sure.
