Potentials are annoying, but I loved Buffy to the very end. The last season had a lot of great episodes, I enjoyed it. My favorite part from season 7 was Xander getting his eye poked out. Classic.

rofl, that scene was the only time in the entire series I felt sick. I mean, I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach right after the Dirty Girls episode.

He deserved it. Xander is an idiot for dumping Anya. I wish they would have killed Xander instead of Anya in Chosen. She had been through so much pain in the show, she didn't deserve to die. But I knew Joss was going to do something after Emma made her announcement about not coming back to Buffy for a season 8.

I heard Emma actually specifically asked Joss to kill Anya at the end of the series so she'd never have to be asked to guest on Angel.

Damn, I hate it when actors do that. But why would Joss want Emma to be on Angel? The only characters from Buffy that have a reason to be on Angel are Willow, Buffy, and Faith. Willow because she has the power to put Angel's soul back into him which has been done too much, Buffy because she loves Angel and Faith because she should be in jail there.

I don't think it ever jumped, but it had its weak points -

Season 4: The Riley character was lame, but acceptable for a season, but Adam should have NEVER been the big bad. Professor Walsh should have been. Overall, it was OK - Fear Itself and Hush are classic eps.

Season 6: The Trio almost succeeded in destroying the series, but the season was redeemed by OMWF, Tabula Rasa, and the last three eps of the year. I wish Tara would have survived, though.

Season 7: Was too relentlessly dark. It had none of the sense of fun and adventure of the previous seasons.

In season 5, I thought the introduction of Dawn was a JTS moment at first, but I began to accept the character after The Body. That ep may have brought out the cast's best acting of the entire series. Season 5 was the best season of of the post-HS seasons.

So, no JTS moments, just some normal creative ups and downs.

I had to vote for Season 5 just for the "Dawn the Spawn" comment.

Season 5: The addition of Dawn and Buffy's mom dying was the beginning of the end for me.

I also hated when Angel and Cordelia left.

I don't really think the show ever jumped the shark.

The closest thing to jumping the shark was (like another poster said), the last season didn't have that same sense of fun and adventure the other years had.

I picked season four, though I don't think it jumped at that season...I just think that they had a kind down part during that season. It just wasn't that entertaining for me. It did have a lot of Willow centered eps, which I love, but that still didn't cut it for me.
