Wink Smallville Season Finale - You see it?

Anyone catch the "Smallville" season finale last night?

It was pretty good. I loved the montage at the end when Lionel Luthor "settled all business" with his enemies. Very "Godfather."

I think the subplot with the blonde Krypton girl was a little weak, but all in all it was pretty good cliffhanger.

Anyone else see it?

Cool

In the first few minutes, when the nekkid blonde chick toasted that truck, i though - this episode is so totally gonna kick @ss!!

And it did, but the ending was very Twin Peaks - interesting, but ive seen that same ending on so many shows, it just wasnt shocking.

I cant wait to see if the writers have decided to make Jor-el a bad guy, if they are purposely trying to make us misunderstand him and hes really an ok guy, or if thats not really Jor-el at all.

Did you see the commercial for season 2 dvd set? GAG REEL. I
totally cannot wait to trade for it.

That is a good point. Maybe that isn't even Jor-El at all.
Hopefully they will tie things in with Christopher Reeve's character. I know he's hiding a thing or two from Clark.

Hopefully the first few episodes of next season will focus on Clark's meeting with dear old Dad. It would be cool if they put Clark in some "other worldly" scenarios.

I have seen the commercials for the season two DVD set, and yes the gag reel sounds like fun.

And lets see, Lionel got his head shaved and Lex got drugged.

Brain transplant time! In the comics, when Lex was dying, he like, transplanted his brain into another body and passed himself off as SON OF LEX. So maybe Lionel will just steal Lexs body and thats how he becomes EVIL. Hopefully they wont do an actual brain transplant though - maybe they;ll make up some personality switch thingie, which is of course, MUCH MORE BELIEVEABLE.

Actually, I do think they are going to do something along those lines. Hes dying so hes going to go after another body, however
they plan to update that storyline. Whatever doctor was helping
Lex recover those memories, you know - they'll just hook 'em up to some electrodes, spout off some really unbelievable crap, and then Lionel is magically Lex. And Lex rots in prison.

If not, hey, its really anyones guess. When does it usually hit, around November? I can't wait - Ill be so close to graduating by them, Ill be ready to throw myself down and cry!

Well, that would be an interesting twist.
But even for a fantasy show, that's a bit over the top.

I wonder if Chloe will survive?

Yeah, unfortunately that over the top stuff really detracts from it, for me. I mean, when you want over the top, you watch the superfriends. The way they leave so many ends loose on a weekly basis - i mean, how can eveyone in town not know about Clark by now. Esp. Lionel and Lex.

I still think its good fun, but i think it could adversly affect the shows longevity. 5 yrs from now, if i can watch it everynight, i'll only realize how full of crap the whole situation is that much faster.

i hope everyone stays, but mostly, i just want to figure out the deal with jor-el!!! if something happens and i die before i find out, im gonna be so mad.

Yeah, I hope they devote some time to this whole "Clark trapped with Jor-el" storyline next season.
They should do a multi episode arch.
Heck, get Terrence Stamp in there to actually be Jor-el!

Please don't resolve things in the first five minutes of the season premier!

They'll be plenty of time in season 4 for Clark to get jerked around by Lana. Let Clark spend some time with dear old Dad!
