I voted season 7, I think they kinda slacked off a little that year, knowing that they weren't coming back for an 8th year

I love Family Ties, but if I have to pick I would say season 5. Andy aging so fast and Ellen's vanishing without a proper goodbye was a little ackward. But I love Family Ties no matter what though.

Thumbs down

Season six-the program just wasn't as entertaining the last two
seasons. Also, Justine Bateman had some genuine intelligence
the first few seasons, but the last few they really dumbed down
her character of Mallory.

Loved Family Ties, stayed with it up until the very end - but yeah, if I have to choose a season, it'd be the 5th one.

I think it did a reverse jump. The earlier seasons were kind of dumb, but it got better during the later years.

Season five. The aging of Andy, played by Brian Bonsall (who I earlier referred to as an '80s cousin Oliver) was a big mistake. Not too fond of Jennifer's crappy new hairdo, either.

Season 5. The show was still watchable after Ellen left, but it was never the same.

I know it may have jumped the shark according to TV experts or whatever (not sure if those even exist, but you get my point), but I thoroughly enjoyed the show all the way through to the end.

If I had to pick I'd say Season 5. It just wasn't as good as the first few seasons, though I still loved it.

I put when Andy miraculously ages over 4 years and Tracy Pollan Exits.

Also about ur poll...

The "infamous Jennifer Valley girl" ep was in season 5 not season 4. Season 4 was the best! There was nothing bad about it. Unless season 4 was the season where they introduced Nick...

Oh I dunno...Even though they introduced Nick in this season its my fave because I love the Alex and Ellen relationship (I can understand how you'd hate it though Jen. I wish Mal and Skip had gotten together too. )

I have to go with the majority and say season 5.... even though the horrible N-ick came about in S 4, the wonderful Ellen made that a season to remember....Near the end, when the producers decided to give Alex a new love, apparently Tracy Pollan's return was vetoed even though she probably would have come back, and instead, we got Courtney Cox's Lauren, a girl with so little personality they needed to set her on fire to see her in front of a grey wall!

I think the show was good to the very end. It never jumped the shark.
