I voted season 6.

I love the first half of the season, but when Sam joined, it was the end of the show IMO

Thumbs down

Season 8-Mary Ann Mobley was no Dixie Carter. Also, the show
was tired and on its last legs and not even an updated version
of the theme song or a new network(ABC) could really save it.

I voted for season 8. It didn't even seem like the same show anymore.

Season 6. I have no idea why they added Sam. I think there was an episode where he was kidnapped. I mean are we supposed to laugh or cry?

I was hoping Mr. Drummond was actually going to pay the kidnapper so much to KEEP Sam, with a note saying "thank you", lol

Yeah, Sam sucked, so I voted season six. I don't think that not letting Arnold grow up did the show much good, either.

By the way, I like Danny Cooksey... just not pre-puberty.

I'm guessing you are talking about Salute Your Shorts. That was a cool show. Remember the awful waffle?

I agree, Arnold didn't really start to grow up until the last season

Yeah, that was great!

Salute Your Shorts is great. It's one of few childhoods that hold up upon re-watching it as an adult.

By the way, Danny Cooksey also appeared in Terminator 2, and has done lots of cartoon voices, including Montana Max in Tiny Toon Adventures.

Sam!! He was soooo annoying!! That kid also had the nerve to show up on ""Mr. Belvedere where he tried to compete with Wesley too. Luckily, Wesley made quick work of getting rid of this little brat, and his character only lasted one episode. Unfortunately, this only allowed him to go on to resurface on "Diff'rent Strokes", taking "Strokes" way over the proverbial shark.

i voted for season 5. it started to go downhill here. there were way too many episodes focused on arnold and his school activites, and arnold didn't seem to act the way that he did in the previous seasons. he acted more like a little baby sometimes than he did earlier in the series. these were probably the reasons why maggie and sam came into the show. storylines were getting dumb.
