For anyone who is interested, I checked on Ultimate Disney and it seems that the 40th anniversary addition of Mary Poppins will be released on December 7, 2004. It will feature a digitally remastered 2-disc special edition, all new musical number with Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, audio commentary, making of documentary and much more. There's also a picture of what the DVD cover will look like. More info can be found here (near the bottom of the page).

Thanks for the heads-up, Carrie! "Mary Poppins" is one of my all-time favorite movies. I've already got 2 copies of it on DVD, but I'll probably buy this one too. hehe. It'll be on my Christmas list for sure!

Sure, no problem. I'll post more info when I find it. I'm definitely looking forward to its release. I've just about worn out my VHS version!
