Default Reunion coming to CBS in 2004-05 season

The original cast of "Dallas," the long-running, beloved CBS series will be reunited. It's been over 25 years since Larry Hagman, Victoria Principal, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy, Charlene Tilton, Ken Kercheval and Steve Kanaly first took up residence at the famous Southfork Ranch just outside of Dallas. They will meet there again for this special reunion to tour the famous grounds, talk about the series' most infamous storylines, reminisce about their time together on the show and sit down to a Texas-style barbeque. Larry Hagman will also share his own home movies that were shot as the series was actually being filmed.

Thats great news. I hope Barbara Bel Geddes, Howard Keel and Susan Howard will be there too. I doubt Barbara will though as she has mainly disapeared.

I cannot wait for this!

It'd be a real treat to have Barbara Bel Geddes back, as well as the others mr roper's mentioned. If it doesn't happen, it's understandable..but it'd sure be nice.

What's really going to be nice is to see Victoria Principal on the reunion. She never came back for the Made for TV movies and I really hate how they left her character. In my opinion, the show really jumped the shark when she disappeared from the hospital at the beginning of the 1987-1988 season.

I saw an article with the cast in a recent tabloid (I think "Star"). It didn't have Steve or Victoria in it. I hope they do show up.

I also wish Priscilla B. Presley and Susan Howard would attend.

This was posted on Yahoo...

J.R., Sue Ellen, Pam, Bobby and other members of television's Ewing clan will return to prime time in November for a "Dallas" reunion special, CBS said on Tuesday.

Larry Hagman, who starred as the unscrupulous, power-hungry Texas oilman J.R. Ewing, becoming America's favorite TV villain for 13 seasons, will join several former co-stars on the two-hour special, "Dallas Reunion: The Return to Southfork," set to air Nov. 7.

Among them are Linda Gray, who played J.R.'s long-suffering wife, Sue Ellen; Patrick Duffy, who portrayed J.R.'s righteous younger brother Bobby; Victoria Principal (Bobby's wife, Pamela); Charlene Tilton (J.R.'s sexy, seductress niece, Lucy); Ken Kercheval (J.R.'s brother-in-law and arch nemesis Cliff Barnes) and Steve Kanaly (Southfork Ranch manager Ray Krebbs).

CBS said the special will feature cast members touring the grounds of the Southfork Ranch called home by the Ewings and reminiscing about their time on the show. And Hagman will share his own behind-the-scenes home movies that were shot while "Dallas" was being filmed.

Also taking part will be Mary Crosby, who played J.R.'s infamous mistress Kristin Shepard -- the mysterious assailant in the cliff-hanger finale to the show's second season in which J.R. was gunned down.

The program was by then a worldwide hit, and the question of "Who shot J.R.?" raged all that summer. The November 1980 episode in which Kristin was revealed to have pulled the trigger became the highest-rated broadcast in TV history up to that time, seen by nearly 80 percent of all viewers watching television that night.

Indeed, all 13 season finales of "Dallas," even the very last original broadcast in May 1991, were cliffhangers, helping to popularize what became a fixture of prime-time dramatic series.

The serialized format of "Dallas" also helped pave the way for a new generation of episodic prime-time dramas -- from "Hill Street Blues" and "St. Elsewhere" to "thirtysomething" and "The Sopranos" -- in which characters and storylines followed a deliberate arc that developed week to week over the life of a series.

First of all... what the???? You need to spell-check, man.

Second, it's not a movie. It's a gathering of the cast to talk about the show. There is no acting. It will just be sharing memories.

Dallas was my favorite show, I never missed a episode. Ray was my favorite character on the show. I'm glad Steve Kanaly will be on this reunion.

The reunion was great. It was great seeing them all again and the women especially all look great. I really enjoyed the bloopers and practical jokes segment. It was great seeing everyone have fun behind the camera.
