Ep1 (of this season): Life's Adventurous People:
Andy gets an offer to go on a safari with an old friend from high school who has moved back to town. Andy accepts the offer and while he packs, each member of the family (Jim, Cheryl, Dana, and the kids) say their good-byes to him before he leaves on his 8 month safari trip in Africa.

Ep2: Bon Voyage, Andy:
The family sees Andy off to the airport. The one person who takes the goodbyes the hardest is little Gracie, who breaks down hysterically crying.

Ep3: Unexpected Sickness:
Cheryl is bedridden with the flu. Jim asks Dana to help him with the kids, while Cheryl is sick. Cheryl finally goes to the doctor, where she is told she doesn't have the flu, she's 4 months pregnant!

Ep4: Unexpected Announcement:
Cheryl tells Dana and Jim she's 4 months pregnant. Dana is happy, and is the first to call Andy to tell him the news, as he is equally happy. Cheryl and Jim are stunned and worried they can't afford this new baby.

Ep5: Telling The Siblings:
Jim, Cheryl, and Dana take Kyle, Gracie, and Ruby aside separately to tell them that Cheryl's having another baby. Cheryl's mourning sickness gets worse.

Ep6: Return of Jim's Sister:
Roxanne (Jennifer Coolidge) shows up wanting to talk to Andy, while Cheryl, Jim, and the kids are out of town visiting one of Jim's friends and Dana is housesitting. Dana tells Roxanne that Andy is on a safari in Africa. Roxanne breaks down, saying how much she really wants Andy back in her life. The two become pals until Jim, Cheryl, and the kids come home.

Ep7: Double, Double, Trouble, Trouble:
Dana watches the kids with Roxanne's help, as Jim accompanies Cheryl at a doctor's visit. The doctor tells them that Cheryl is having twins! Cheryl is stunned, as Jim faints.

Ep8: Coming Home Early:
Andy comes home early, due to missing the family too much. Jim and Cheryl share the new news of twins with Dana, Roxanne, the kids, and Andy. Everyone is happy, but the parents are worried if they can really afford have five kids plus a mortgage and a car payment.

Ep9: A Proposal Like You Wouldn't Believe:
Roxanne pops the question to Andy during "a night of romance" welcoming back each other into each other's lives. ANdy accepts and they announce the news to the family. Dana decides to enter the dating-world again.

Ep10: The Due Date From Hell:
The doctor informs Jim and Cheryl that their babies's due date is on Friday the 13th, plus the birthday of Jim's estranged father. Jim hopes the babies aren't born on his and Roxanne's dad's birthday, due to the fact that his father was a horrible man: an abusive drunk who gambled away everything they had twice, plus left his wife and two kids when Jim was 9 and Roxanne was 6 years old. Roxanne and Jim reminice all the bad memories with Cheryl, Andy, and Dana.

(2004-2005) Jim and Cheryl have twin boys. Their names are Justin and Dylan. Jim is overjoyed to have three sons now. Cheryl, Dana, Roxanne, Ruby, and Gracie were hoping for another girl, but are still thrilled to have two boys. Roxanne and Andy plan the wedding, having Cheryl being the maid of honor, Jim being the best man, Dana being the bridesmaid (who walks down the aisle pushing Justin and Dylan in a fancy stroller/carriage), Kyle being the ring bearer, and Ruby and Gracie being the flower girls (who walk down the aisle with Kyle). Dana meets a guy at the wedding of Roxanne and Andy, whom she really likes, as does the family. Dana's new and serious boyfriend, Matt (Kirk Cameron) decide to move in together, but decide to take things slow. Ruby is now in the 4th grade and is 10 years old. Gracie is in the 3rd grade and is 9 years old. Kyle is in preschool and is 4 years old. Justin and Dylan are only less than a year old and are with Cheryl as she stays home (as the housewife she is). Roxanne and Andy want to have a child of their very own (Roxanne's child from the Asian guy never happened). Roxanne finds out a week later, she's pregnant. Andy prepares to be a father and is excited. Dana becomes jealous of Andy for getting married and starting a family before she has, but she finds out Matt loves her as much as she loves him. A the season winds down, in the season finale, during a family-get-together (with Jim, Cheryl, Roxanne (whos pregnant), Andy, Dana, Matt, Ruby, Gracie, Kyle, Dylan, and Justin), Matt pops the question to Dana, who is surprised and thrilled as she accepts his offer to become Mrs. Matthew Paulson.
