Odd Couple Marathon? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I hope suggestioning a "Odd Couple" marathon at this time so soon after a legends death is insenstiive , but i wonder if TV Land is considering it. I believe very soon after the death of Carol O'Connor a All in the Family weekend was quckly programmed. I sure hope they still have any rights to show it!! Rest in Peace Mr. Randall.

They should be thinking of it right now.

Tony Randall is a TV legend.

He deserves it.

I'm just glad I was able to tape The Odd Couple Marathon he hosted on WPIX.

Rest in Peace Tony, you will be missed.

I was a little surprised that TV Land didn't throw together a 48 hour marathon of the Odd Couple this past weekend... I love Green Acres, but I would have gladly sat through a weekend of the Odd Couple and remember a lot of great times...

Yes, TV Land put together an A I T F marathon immediately after Carroll OConnor's death, I'm not sure why TV Land didn't do the same... I mean, what did they do, a four episode tribute on a weeknight? C'mon TV Land you can do better than that for Tony...

Unless , of course, maybe TV Land doesn't have the current rights to the Odd Couple, and maybe they quickly bought the rights for the few shows that they did air last week...

I totally agree!! I like Green Acres but a 48 hour marathon!! Geez!!

they showed 6 episodes. it was disappointing that they didn't make a bigger deal. I'm 37 and i've been watching the odd couple as long as i can remember. The Odd Couple is hands down my favorite show ever.
