Default Cancelled

Casualties include sitcoms I'm With Her, It's All Relative, Married to the Kellys and, in a surprise move, Life With Bonnie. Replacements: The Savages, about a widower and his five unruly sons, mirroring producer Mel Gibson's brood; and That's Just Rodney, starring comedian Rodney Carrington. That will leave eight comedies, down from 10 currently, with George Lopez scheduled to move to Tuesday and 8 Simple Rules to lead off Fridays.

from the Top 8 Dumbest Things TV Networks Did This Season:

#1) ABC Cancels "Life with Bonnie"
"Life with Bonnie" is the only good comedy ABC had on the air. Period. Why in the world would you cancel your only quality show in favor of 11 new, un-tested pilots? Bonnie Hunt and the cast and creators deserved better than this.

The sad thing is that I don't think Bonnie Hunt will ever have sucess on TV. Her sitcoms are too different (meaning ORIGINAL) for prime time. Sure, she could probably get a role on some ensemble sitcom, where all she had to do was act, but she's also writer and a producer, and she is one of the few people on TV who can do all three very well.

She should try directing more films.

Oh yeah, I agree. ABC has no idea what they're doing.

This really stinks. I thought ABC would have more sense than this. "Life with Bonnie" is one of the good things going for them! It's really too bad, I doubt that the replacement will last.

This completely sucks! LWB was the best show ABC has had in like...decades, and now they cancel it. For one, I thought they had already picked it up, two they have that Tony's restaurant cliffhanger, and three....it was the best damn show they had!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I would have liked to see Hope & Faith or 8 Simple Rules (or both!) go before this show went...

So sad...
