It's probably obvious who it's going to be mainly because it was his last season on the show, but I figure John Amos will have his pic on the spine of the 3rd season set, after JJ on the first season and Florida in the second season. If they release season 4, 5 and 6, it'll probably be Thelma, Michael then Willona (because Willona wasn't a family member) or Thelma, then Willona/Penny and then Michael since Willona/Penny was a big season 5 storyline. No room for Bookman on the spine.

Well i'm glad to see that the look of the characters on the front cover is consistent with the season of the DVD. Season 2 front cover had the look of the season 4 characters-LOL And Season one was not consistent either |

I just bought season 2 so I'm definitely looking forward to Season 3, and it's nice to see John Amos/James on the spine. Watching the season 2 episodes again just brings back the disappointment of the character being killed off. He really had just such a large, core part of the show, there is just a huge hole left behind.

SYNOPSIS
GOOD TIMES (1974-1979), which was a spin-off of the "All in the Family" spin-off "Maude," details the trials and tribulations of an African-American family living in the projects on the south side of Chicago. Florida Evans (Esther Rolle), her husband James (John Amos), their wisecracking son J.J. (Jimmy Walker, whose "Dy-No-Mite" became a popular 1970s catchphrase), and neighbor and best friend Willona (Ja'net Du Boise) exploited, to great comic effect, subjects like inflation, unemployment, and bigotry. This three-disc collection contains all 24 classic episodes from the third season, when GOOD TIMES tackled topical themes from venereal disease to the U.S. Bicentennial and plot points like J.J.'s surprising engagement, Thelma's man troubles, Michael's problems in school, and James buying a gun to protect his family from local crime. This was the final season for star John Amos. |
