Default Re: Why have they been showing later spidoes lately?

I am confused. They restarted the season recently, and TVLAND has been playing the 5th season episodes for the past two days. Is something going on with TVLAND, like some kind of weird marathon or something?

I was wondering the same thing. Plus they have been showing the cat episode and "Fairwell Penny" episodes far too often.

It seems like they're doing with Beaver what they always do with Andy Griffith. GRRRR!!!

I noticed that too. After the final "Scrapbook" ep aired the next one I saw was the one where Wally starts dating Penny Jamison. They would normally show Captain Jack or Beaver gets Spelled. Why don't they show them in order?

They keep showing the boring color episodes and they never show the black and white ones with Don Knotts.

It was "explained" over on the TV Land board, and has something to do with them having the contractual rights to certain episodes. I didn't really understand the explanation myself!

But why would it suddenly be this way? TV Land has never had a problem with going in order before.

That is a good question! And they still aren't showing a lot of them at all!

[TVLTheLink: TV Land is in a period where it is "rounding off" the airing of various episodes which haven't aired as often as others. This is a contractual requirment to insure that episodes are aired approximately the same number of times.] This was posted by the TV Land Link earlier this month.

~~~The Girl On Beaver Sees America Is A gasser and really pretty
Jerry Mathers was in an episode of 'My Three Sons' (he had a mustache!) The girl in 'Beaver Sees America' (Lori Martin) played his wife. She used to play Velvet Brown in the tv version of 'National Velvet.' And in another example of tv continuity, Velvet's sister in that series was played by Carole Wells, the girl who was pushed into the fountain on 'All Night Party.'
