Default Old People Don't Need To Drive

I hate driving behind old people on the road cause they drive too slow. They need to have somebody younger drive for them to go to the store for them & run errands for them cause they're horrible drivers LOL.

Hey, don't criticize old people's driving skills! My grandmother is an excellent driver and she is perfectly capable of doing much more than you.

And they pull me behind, as I let off the pedal.
Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

LOL@your grandma can much more than me. Shut the hell up. That's odd to see a 79 yr old woman speeding. My grandfather always tells me that he doesn't care about people driving past him cause he ain't in no rush to get to where he's got to go. He also said whenever he sees a person in his bumper, he puts his brakes on so they can get from behind him LOL.

I get frustrated too when driving behind an older person but you have to realize that they are just being cautious. There are a whole bunch of younger people who don't need to be on the road either. This guy I work with was just in an accident the other day. He was hit by some 18 year old kid who wasn't paying attention and ran a red light. He was going 70 miles an hr in a 50 mile an hr zone. Luckily no one was seriously injured.

I think once you get to a certain age, it should be required to take another driving test, because lets be honest.. a lot of the older people (not all) cant drive safely on the road for the rest of us. Theres nothing with going a little bit below the speed limit but when the speed is 35 and youre going about 22, its time to get off the road. Driving too slowly is just as bad as driving too fast.

I think they should at least take driving tests when they reach a certain age. If you can't see straight or can't hear, you shouldn't be driving. There was an incident in California several months ago where an old man plowed into a Pedestrian market and killed several people. There were a couple of smaller incidents after that as well. We were at a gas station last year and this old guy in front of us backed into us(from the front). He was only going about 10 mph, so it didn't cause any damage, but he obviously couldn't hear because we were blowing the horn.

I would love to hear you when you get old! I agree though that there are some bad elder drivers out there but IMO young girls/women are the worst tailgaters! I think that they are usually late getting to work and that is the reason. I have seen some really bad young drivers!(male or female)

I agree. Most of the bad drivers I see around here are very young drivers. They speed, tailgate, yell out their windows and have their radio's blasting so loud you can't think. While some elder people are bad drivers, I don't think its fair to condemn all of them. I rather get behind someone who drives a little slow then someone who is driving to fast.

I've just started driving and will be 16 in a little over 2 months. I am still pretty paranoid right now. I try to stay around the speed limit, but don't speed. I'm getting better about the city traffic, but still am a bit nervous.

One of my favorite things is when you get behind one that feels the need to leave one of their blinkers on forever and ever. This is not just an old person problem either, but it is annoying no matter who does it.

LOL

What's worse is when someone doesn't signal at all or puts their signal on at the last minute and slams on the brakes. Ugh... that is going to cause a wreck one day.
