I don't know how many of y'all heard about the flooding in Texas, but my sister sent me some pictures that were taken at the school she teaches at in Texas. All I can say is WOW!!! That is going to take awhile to clean up.

I'm not sure if this was taken before or after the dam broke. I'm asuming it is before b/c there are still students in the school and they evacuated the school after the dam broke.

This is the teacher's parking lot...or should we say river. A very FAST moving river.

This is a picture of the school sign. The rain was so hard it knocked off the "E" at the end of Hearne.

I saw it on the news. It reminds me of a huge flood we had last May here. Rained about 8" in a few hours one night and the next morning the Chattahoochee River(major river) had overflowed. It flooded part of the city a couple of miles from here and damaged some buildings. It took about a week for everything to get back to normal.

Hearne had 18" of rain then after the dam broke some roads were under 3 feet of water.

Where is Hearne Texas? I live around the Dallas/Ft Worth area and I had not heard about it. Wow!

I just looked it up, it's just north of the Bryan/College Station area which is southeast of Waco.

Thats exacylt where it is. It's on Highway 6 between C/S and Waco. It's about a half hour north of College Station. If you've ever traveled hwy 6, you have to go through it, no choice
