There were a few episodes that were a little heavy handed, particularly "Dreams." |

The one where Hot Lips' old friend is an alcoholic and Klinger sees her drinking in the supply tent. Later, she gets the DTs and thinks that ants are crawling all over her.
The last episode where Hawkeye goes crazy because the Korean lady killed her baby. |

"Point of View." Everybody, but everybody, on the staff stopped by to schmooze with the wounded soldier, and Klinger took him for a ride around the camp. Since when did any one patient get that much attention? It was an episode that just tried too hard to show how wonderful everyone at the 4077 was.

1. There were parts where Klinger wasn't around to imagine stuff and forgot about him. 2. I thought that the part Charles and Hawkeye were arguing about the "NAIL!" was funny. Dreams was too serious and weird, but the last one, G,F&A, takes the cake for lack of humor and heavy seriousness in a long amount of time. It even made the end of the war seem really sad. |

"Follies of the Living, Concerns of the Dead"-too weird and dramatic
"Dreams"-too surreal and weird "Yes Sir, That's our Baby"-too dramatic 99.9% of "Goodbye, Farewell & Amen"-also too dramatic |

The one where Hawkeye eulogizes the nurse that nobody got a chance to know before she died. By MASH standards, it's way too serious and maudlin. I think it was a last or second-to-last season episode.

But it's so sweet! Also, the show takes place during a war, so it needs some super-seriousness such as that every once in awhile to stay realistic. It did have some good lines though, and it's one of my favorites(though I don't know why,-I usually prefer lots of laughs).
