Default If Janet and Chrissy was supposed to be friends, why was the Janet character treating

Chrissy like she was her daughter? Janet always communicated with Chrissy on a Mother/Daughter Level.

Sad Your right...

At first, they were more like sisters, but than later on Chrissy started to act too ******** and had to be taught right from wrong all the time, so poor Janet had to take the role of mother instead of younger sister! Poor Janet!

SHE DID HAVE TO TAKE ON A MOTHER ROLE. BUT NOT ONLY FOR CHRISSY BUT FOR JACK AS WELL. AND SHE WAS THE YOUNGEST CHARACTER ON THE SHOW WHEN IT WAS JANET, JACK AND CHRISSY!!!!!!!!!!SHE WAS THE MOST RESPONSIBLE THERE SO NATURALLY.........

I know.I think she acted that way to make sure that nothing happened between her and Jack or Jack & Chrissy so nothing would change the relationship in the apartment.Jack thought that too.

Janet's High School Sweetheart
Jack:Because we're friends.While I live in this apartment I don't think of you as girls.To me,you're just a couple of lumpy boys

She Loves Me,She Loves Me Not
Jack:You just can't get it through your head.I don't think of Janet & Terri that way.We have a beautiful relationship and I don't want to do anything to spoil that

I think in the 1st season Chrissy character was a lot mature then what she became in the rest of the seasons. She really started to get more & more ditzy later on. Thats why if you see in the 1st season Janet & Chrissy relationship was more like that of sisters, it was only when Chrissy got more & more goofier that Janet had to actually take up the role of "the mother" towards Chrissy. Actually even Jack was acting like Chrissy's parent most of the time. I guess Jack & Janet just loved their friend a lot & were only trying to protect her. lol.

Later on, Jack would call her "Little Chrissy", probably because she acted like a child.
