Default Amer Idol 5-11-04

Here's how I have it...

1)Fantasia
2)Diana DeGarmo

3)Latoya London and Jasmine Trias. Latoya has the better singing but Jasmine has better showmanship.

I still predict Fantasia and Diana in the final 2.

Okay Simon was being a MAJOR a-hole to Jasmine tonight. That comment about everyone in Hawaii having a least 5 phones was SO rude. SO rude. Then again, tonight he DID say that after knowing La Toya for 11 weeks, he knows nothing about her and that she never shows personality...AMEN to that one. Also, that Diana is the most improved singer. AMEN again to that one! I'll comment on the individual songs later.

Okay I feel soo bad for Jasmine! I honestly do , she was crying! That was rude and mean and everything that goes along with that. I was almost gonna cry!
DIANA ROX! She was great tonight! I just enjoy watching her , she is so charismatic and is just awesome!
Fantasia was okay tonight , I still don't like her voice , I just don't like her , I can't see her as my American Idol.
LaToya was good tonight as well , it's just I don't know anything about her , all I know is that shes married .. I think?

Uhhhh. I felt sorry for Jasmine when she started bawling. :/ But she was the worst of the night and if she doesn't go tommorow people will end up hating her because all the rest are so good and the judges' love them. Kinda like what happened with John.

Anyways, after tonight I think I'm beginning to like Diana again, she used to be my favorite. She's finally toned down the yelling. They all were pretty good, I actually don't see what was so horrible about It's Raining Men. No different than alot of Jasmine's other performances. But, er, I still don't really like her. Her first performance was just BAD. But her crying made me feel bad for her.

Jasmine crying was sad to see, and what Simon said was kind of mean because I thought she was good on the 2nd song, but she was the worst overall, and I think she will be going home tomorrow...yeah it will be sad to see her go, but I personally would not vote for her out of pity...

Fantasia was good, even though her voice is starting to annoy me a little, her overall performance is great, I like her stage presence and her personality and just her overall performance...

LaToya was ok, nothing special for me..Im not that excited about her really...

Diana was good, but nothing too special about it to me tho :-/

I think it will probably be Jasmine and LaToya in the bottom 2 w/Jasmine going home.

It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't as good as the performances by the other 3. At this point in the competition it's all about being the best.

Okay, so let's see...

Jasmine: I thought her first performance was actually okay. She hit lots of bad notes, but I liked it. Her second one however...ehh. It was just not good. I think it was too hard of a song for her. I think she's going home tomorrow, but then again, Hawaii will be voting like crazy tonight so...

Fantasia: I loved her first performance. LOVED IT. Kim Caldwell sang it last year, but I actually liked Fantasia's version better! Definitely one of her best and one of my favorite performances of hers. I liked it even more than Summertime. Her second song wasn't nearly as good as Knock on Wood, but it was okay.

La Toya: Her first song was boring, but her second one was pretty good. Erm. Yeah that's all I have to say...ahh Simon finally said she was boring tonight..still can't get over that

Diana: Great, as usual. Her first song was great and her second was even better. She definitely needs to win.

So as for who's going tomorrow, I think it will sadly be Jasmine however...maybe La Toya...?

wow sad night. Jasmine in tears Her first performance has to go down as one of her worst definitely, although i thought her 2nd performance was pretty good. Not the best, but pretty good. You can tell her voice is straining. but aw.. i wanted to give her a hug. I hated Simon's comment on "you better hope everyone in Hawaii has 5 phones".. because thats a misjudgement. Yes, everyone in Hawaii is voting for Jasmine probably.. but didnt everyone in Alabama vote for Ruben last year? All of Georgia is probably voting for Diana too... because she mentions "Snellville" a lot (her hometown). And i know the Georgeians vote a lot for her, because im near Georgia, and the line is ALWAYS busy for Diana. i mean, ALWAYS. even if it is really busy she lands in the bottom 3 anyways.. so yeah. But the main point is, he shouldnt have said that. Hawaii is a smaller state than Georgia, so Hawaii isnt gonna have a huge impact, i mean cmon. And also, North Carolina is probably voting for Fantasia as well. I know if someone from my hometown was on American Idol, then i would be a tad biased towards him/her.

However... tonight. You dont know how happy i am that Simon finally saw what i saw in Diana.. Diana is great, and im glad Simon likes her now, because i thought that Simon was the only thing going against her during the whole comeptition. Diana was AWESOME tonight, and i did TRY and vote for her a whole lot tonight, but her line was busy, and i only got through twice during the last hour. And i did give 3 votes for Jasmine just for being great this season. I do predict Fantasia and Jasmine in the bottom 2, and Jasmine is going to leave Oh well, it's a lose/lose situation. If she stays, shes gonna be bashed more. If she leaves, then no more Jasmine.. but thats alright, 4th place is awesome. I mean, Tamyra was 4th place

Diana was AMAZING. I was in awe of her amazing-ness.

To anyone who hated It's Raining Men *SLAP* I thought it was amazing. Try singing that song, it's HARD.

Fantasia... Knock on Wood... *praises* That made me love the woman. I heart Fantasia.

LaToya... all I have to say is Hawaii BETTER have 5 phones and get this girl off.

I didnt see it, but my friend taped it so Ill see it this weekend or something. *screams*

But yeah, I voted for Diana. I got through 32 times, and only had 3 busy signals. Then again I live in Hooterville, so that would explain a lot.

I agree. I personally think that it will be Diana and Fantasia in the finale, or atleast I hope so!

Disco night was entertaining to say the least. I didn't understand the need for changing the order of the judges comments though. Anyways, my rankings:

1. Diana- Clearly her best effort of the year. She is turning it on down the home stretch.

2. La Toya- It could easily be Fantasia in the two spot. Both had one good performance and one superior one. I guess it's just my preference.

3. Fantasia- Good as always, but I guess I just don't like her tone quality as much as La Toya.

4. Jasmine- She was by far the worst. Her first song- terrible, although she had a nice dress. Her second song was better than the first, but still not in league with the other singers. Simon has given her the kiss of death. I don't know if the sympathy votes from the tears can overcome the kiss of death.

My Predictions (season record 2-6 why do I bother keeping track?)

Bottom 2

Jasmine- for obvious reasons
La Toya- It could be Fantasia, but I think her fanbase is larger

Voted Off

Jasmine Trias will bid us a teary eyed farewell on Wednesday as we see her and her flower drift off into the sunset.

Me and one of my best friends Jessica were talking on the phone while we were watching American Idol, and we both thought Simon was being so stupid! I think Jasmine did really good, but better on her second song.
And she even cried...either because the judges hurt her feelings, or because the judges made her think she's getting the boot next.
But I voted for her the intire 2 hours!

Jasmine: Her first song wasn't that great, she was probably nervous or just picked the wrong song. But on the third song, she did really good!

LaToya: I thought she would do better than that. She didn't do her best, but she was allight. Her second song was better, though.

Fantasia: Me and my friend both really thought she didn't do a really good job. We both thought it was weird that Simon always is nice to her, and never Jasmine. Probably because Jasmine's younger...

Diana: PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT!! She did AWESOME!

I WANT the bottom two to be Fantasia and LaToya, and Fantasia goes home.

I THINK the bottom two will be Jasmine and Fantasia, and Jasmine will probably go home
But I really like Jasmine!
