Angry Funeral processions and rude people

Yesterday morning, I had to go to a funeral for one of my mother's aunts. During the funeral procession from the funeral home to the church, then to the cemetery, I noticed at least a couple of dozen cars cutting in and out of the procession while several dozen more people were honking their horns and glaring impatiently. I even saw a few middle fingers. I was really sickened by it. Don't people have respect for the deceased and their loved ones anymore?

Yep. These days people are just generally complete *Bleeps* but even so the rudeness of some never fails to shock me.

That is pretty rude. A funeral is the last thing a person has. I've never minded waiting for the procession to clear.

I would've flipped them the finger, too - that is, if I were a part of the funeral procession and somebody started honking at me.

The only procession I've been a part of, had police cars blocking the intersections from incoming traffic. So that definitely helped.

If the hearse didn't give it away, those people have no hope.

Not "yeah".... NO. NO. NO. NO. Where is commen decency with that? People are grieving. A funeral procession is a solemn occasion. All headlights should be turned on on all the cars following the hearse to indicate there will be slow traffic for a while. If some A-hole driver is in such a damn hurry they need to stop and remember that someday, sure as anything, THEY will be in that box. And how would THEIR family feel with some honking butt-nugget behind them weaving in an out of THEIR last moments above ground. I mean...cripes. This society really blows.

Its supposed to be slow. And it isnt like you get caught behind one every day. Youre supposed to be considerate. Yeah, Id get impatient, but I would never act out on it.
