2nd version of finale? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

According to Sunday's Circuit City ad, the finale episode of Friends will be released Tuesday on DVD with an alternate version of the episode. Does anyone know anything about this? Maybe that's the missing Ross and Rachel proposal footage everyone has been talking about on here. Anyway, the cost is only $7.99 so I'll be picking it up first thing Tuesday morning.

I just watched it and there are several entire scenes added that were never shown on NBC. However, none are important to the storyline, but are funny little filler scenes!

I agree that the scenes aren't important but the little jokes in the extended version make the finale more enjoyable. I say it's worth the 10 bucks to buy the DVD.

The DVD of the series finale is pretty cool. It gives you a glimpse of how different the "DVD versions" are from the "broadcast versions." I always knew there was a difference, but I didn't know it was that drastic.

Yeah in the spoiler script I read Ross had the great line to Rachel, "Would you do me the honor of being my fourth wife". Yet that wasn't in the finale.
