It's a CBS Sitcom about a married couple who has just sent off their youngest child off at college and now they have time just for them and they are bored more, lonely, and arguing more. Their kids come home for visits, which perk them up, but not when they learn why there are there. Tim Allen and Bette Midler play Tim and Nadine Graham. Their kids: Dana (Jennie Garth) comes home to announce her engagement to an older man, Joe (Steve Guttenberg), Christine (Tori Spelling) comes home to announce she's dropping out of college to be an actress, and Mitch (Ashton Kutcher) comes home to announce he's gotten his high school girlfriend, Shannon (Shannon Elizabeth) pregnant. Tim and Nadine must confront their children and tell them what they think. Tim and Nadine wished for company, but not all the conflicts and stresses with the company. How are they gonna handle Dana's, Christine's, and Mitch's problems??

Christine moves into Dana and Joe's luxury apartment which is near by their parent's home, as Mitch and Shannon move back in with Tim and Nadine. Nadine's co-worker and best friend, Faustine Cleveland (Cher) helps out in the advice.
