Default Loretta Lynn

following in the footsteps of the late Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn is the lastest country legend to be "made over" to be cool to a generation who weren't alive in their prime.

Loretta let Jack White (of the White Stripes) produce her latest album Von Leer Rose.

Surely this album is not going to get airplay on country radio, but who cares? This album isn't for mainstream country fans. I heard a few of the tracks, and with Jack's production, Loretta actually rocks out on this.

With the exception of Yoko Ono, I don't know any other 70 year old lady who still has this much energy on her current recordings.

If you're a fan of the White Stripes, or of Johnny Cash's "American" albums, you oughta check this out. Definately rivals Prince's Musicology as the comeback of 2004.

I read the review in Rolling Stone and they called it her best album since the 70's and one of the strongest of her career. It made me want to check it out. I can appreciate quality in genres of music even when I don't listen to it much (Loretta Lynn). I do like the Stripes, though.

I also read about her latest in Rolling Stone and am looking forward to checking it out. Loretta Lynn is a legend, and I adore her voice.

I just love her! She's so down to earth.

Loretta is definitely the best, and apparently a lot of fans agreed. Van Lear Rose debuted at number 24 on the overall Billboard 200,her highest ever on the pop charts, and number 2 on the country charts, her highest ever on the country charts since 1977.

I have been a fan of Loretta's for as long as I remember. Has anyone seen the movie Coal Miner's Daughter with Sissy Spacek as Loretta and Tommy Lee Jones as Mooney,Loretta's husband??? Sissy won an Oscar back in 1981 as best actress for her role as Loretta. And Sissy sang all of Loretta's songs herself, she sounded a whole lot like Loretta in the movie as well.

I'm not even a country music fan, but I'm really considering buying Van Lear Rose after the great reviews, and street buzz.

Yes, and as a matter of fact, I'm watching it for the millionth time. One of my favorite movies, starring two of my favorite actors. She deserved the Oscar (which I remember watching her accept that year), and Loretta made a smart move when she chose her. Both ladies have beautiful voices.
