Default My Idea of the Perfect LUCY SHOW

1. Run the first three seasons. Take out a few of the non-Viv shows in Season Three, like Danny Kaye, Jack Benny, the boys camping trip, and Lucy and the Countess.

2. Run the following shows from the final three seasons:

1. Marineland
2. The Countess and Bill Frawley episode
3. Danny Thomas (I didnt like this one, but it establishes Lucy as Mr.Mooney's secretary)
4. The Untouchables (a classic)
5. George Burns
6. Viv Visits Lucy (out of sequential order)
7. Carol Burnett Part I
8. Dean Martin
9. Joan Crawford and Viv (out of order)
10. Milton Berle and the tossed salad
11. Jack Benny and the Vault
12. Lucy and Viv Reminisce

3. Then, as a bonus.....from Here's Lucy...

1. The Jackie Gleason cameo
2. Harry and Viv are Computer Dates
3. Lucy Rides the Rapids
4. Lawrence Welk and Viv
5. Lucy and Viv in Mexico
6. ELIZABETH TAYLOR AND RICHARD BURTON
7. Lucy Goes Hawaiian I
8. Lucy Goes Hawaiian II
9. Flip Wilson
10. With Viv as An Enemy Who Needs Friends
11. Lucy is N.G. as R.N.
12. Lucy Meets Lucille Ball

IMO, this would make for a much better "Lucy" re-run series

I don't think there is no such thing as a perfect The Lucy Show. No show is exactly perfect. Just like most other TV sitcoms, The Lucy Show has some ups and downs. I say just take the show as it is.

Personally, I like both formats of the series about the same. I have just as many favs from the last three seasons as the first three seasons.

I agree with everything you said, except for running the HERE'S LUCY episodes. However, if the opening credits for the Lucy show could be attached to those here's Lucy episodes, giving them connectivity, then I wouldn't mind. And if the Lucy so children could replace the here's Lucy children, then that would be fine with me too.

All in all, sounds like a great idea, as a way of making the show more popular with people who do reruns.
