Default The Friends finale: Just so-so

This is what all the hype was about...?

I'm not saying that the final episode of Friends was bad...but it wasn't really that great, either. At least not in the same way the finales of such shows as M*A*S*H were.

I will admit that Monica and Chandler getting an unexpected twin baby was a nice, curve-ball twist that I didn't see coming and Joey's farewell to the foosball machine was kind of funny, but other than that, it was pretty much just another episode.

Ross and Rachel got back together? Again? Wow! What a surprise!

I'm sure many of you will disagree and probably want my head for writing this, but I have to call it the way I see it. Again, it wasn't a bad episode, but I guess I was expecting more from a show that's ending after a ten-year run.

That was my favorite part of the episode.
Im not big on sappy endings -- but the Joey/Chandler scenes were great.

Hey,

I liked Seinfelds finale a lot better. There were moments in the Friends finale that funny. But, no where close to other episodes.

I think they needed to end it with a proposal from Ross. There was nothing that special with Ross and Rachel getting back toghether. Other then that I thought the episode was pretty good. It wasn't that funny but it had to be more sentimental. I thought Chandler and Joeys godbye was cute and I liked how they showed the empty apartment to end it.

I saw the empty apartment at the end of the finale. When he saw a girl came to the apartment and kissed until it stopped at the last minute on my DVR. I didn't see the entire cast ending since it ended at 9:59 PM which is more than 2 minutes earlier before "ER" came on. I like it better than the "Full House" finale.

then I'd have to say you will certainly prefer seasons 1-6 to 7-10. In the earlier seasons, much of the humor revolved around Chandler and Joey

I didn't watch, but the workers on TV Land watching Friends was interesting, lol. Anyway, I'm betting the Friends finale in the ratings will be less than a 30 rating. Just to compare...MASH's finale had a 60.2/77; Seinfeld 41.3/58; and Cheers 45.5/64. A regular episode of The Beverly Hillbillies had a 44.0/65. And this season's highest rated series for the season is CSI at a 16.0/24. Friends averages a 12.9/20 for the season. So what do you think the finale of Friends will get? I think it won't be near Cheers or Seinfeld at all, probably between a 28-35 rating and a 45-50 share.

I have to agree with Dr. Thong. I thought the show was going to be much better. What I really wanted to see was Chandlers ex. (The one with the big mouth) I think she should've appeared. Plus I think something was lacking in the Ross and Rachel story. I was wanting to cry but, my tears didn't come down (and I'm usually not like that).

Overall I will miss the friends.

It was okay, I think the first part with Chandler and Monica's baby and stuff was just so-so. But The second part was much better, especially with Joey and Chandler. And it sure as hell was better than the Seinfeld finale....I hated that episode

LOL, well the Nielsen household rating is the first number before the slash and after the slash is the share.
