That's right, Batfans!
This month marks the 65th Anniversary of the debut appearance of a sinister-looking, Bob Kane-created character called The Bat-Man, in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), as a featured part of a now-legendary Bill Finger/Bob Kane-penned comic story, "The Case Of The Chemical Syndicate"! One can only speculate the massive phenomenon Kane's character would generate 27 years later... ![]() Trivia Footnote: "The Case Of The Chemical Syndicate" would be remade in a May 1969 ish of Detective Comics, in time for Batman's 30th anniversary. |
