Can you all remember the whole Louise Woodward scandal in 1997? That whole thing just popped back into my head, and I remember it as one of the biggest media events ever- it was on tv practically all day, and there were so many stories brought up during the whole thing.

Who can forget the British nanny who shook that poor baby, Matthew Eappen, to death. It happened here in Massachusetts.
I hope the judge, who overturned her guilty verdict, burns in hell. |

I really didn't know what to believe. But yes, I do remember the media frenzy that ensued.

I wasn't sure what to believe really- but I kind of felt sorry for her family because they were all dragged into the media frenzy as well- and the photographers tortured them non stop.

I disagree. Everyone has the right to their own opinion. Besides, how do you know whether or not she, as you put it, checked her resources? It sounds like she followed the whole thing quite closely.

I remember it vaguely. Someone in my graduating class claimed to either know her or had a family friend that knew her, I can't remember which. I also don't know what to believe.
And regarding Janice, she lives in Massachusetts, where the incident took place. I think there would be a lot of news coverage over there when it happened. There was nonstop coverage of the David Westerfield case here in SD last year. I actually live 15 to 20 minutes away from Westerfield's and the Van Dam's homes. I followed it from the investigation all the way to the sentencing on the radio and on TV. They even aired the trial proceedings on TV live. |

There was no broken arm. Matthew had a wrist fracture that was a couple of week's old when Louise was still his nanny. I'll post my opinion, so don't advise me on how to post. I followed this case very closely. I think you're the one who needs to check your resources. http://www.courttv.com/archive/casef...nny/nanny.html |

Some show did an update on her, and she is studying law in England.
I felt so sorry for her, and I do believe she was not guilty. JMO!
