A couple made in rock 'n' roll heaven

It's not quite the Beatles uniting with the Rolling Stones, but John Lennon's son and Mick Jagger's daughter are making music together.

Sean Lennon, 28, and Elizabeth Jagger, 20, not only are saying love me do, they are getting a lot of satisfaction from their budding romance.

Elizabeth's mom, Jerry Hall, broke the news over the weekend that the offspring of rock royalty have been "an item" for seven weeks now.

"They are so in love," Hall, 47, told the London Mirror. "We had all these incredible family sing-songs with him around the piano. He looks so like John now, and he writes beautiful poetry."

Neal Hamill, Jerry Hall's spokeswoman at Ford Models, confirmed yesterday that Mick Jagger's ex-wife was quoted accurately in the Mirror story. Hall declined further comment.

Elliot Mintz, spokesman for Sean Lennon and his mother, Yoko Ono, refused to shed light on the new lovebirds, saying that Sean is not one to kiss and tell.

"Sean has decided that he's just not going to discuss his personal life in any public forum," Mintz said. "He knows there's going to be constant speculation. He just doesn't want to feed it."

Mintz noted that John Lennon and Mick Jagger may not have been the best of friends, but "they did spend time together."

Up until last year, Sean Lennon had been dating singer and model Bijou Phillips, the daughter of the Mamas and the Papas founder, John Phillips.

After the split, Lennon briefly dated actress Leelee Sobieski before falling for Elizabeth Jagger, a fashion model.

Last year, Elizabeth Jagger's famous father was rumored to have been furious when he learned her boyfriend at the time was 46-year-old actor Michael Wincott.

It has not been revealed what the Stones' frontman thinks of his daughter's latest beau. His representative did not return calls for comment.

But Hall said Lennon was wonderful when he recently paid a weekend visit to her home in Richmond, England, and played his late father's song "Imagine" on the piano.

"He's adorable," Hall gushed.
