FOL Coming To Tv Land???? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

My teacher's friend's daughter used to work for N@N, and now works for the network, A&E. According to her, both DS and FOL will be moving to TV Land within the next 6 years...she's thinking that TV Land has the rights to FOL now though...so I have to talk to her again.

They don't have it really, they got it from the Screen Gems deal.
6 years? That is a long time...anything can happen until then.

Then why doesn't SGN air it for god's sake!!!! Here's what she said:

Hi Andrew, I remember you talking about Diff'rent Strokes, and how you wanted it to come onto Nick At Nite...and I was able to add onto the craze to get it for you. I do have sad news, the Facts Of Life only had a 1 year and 6 month contract, and Nick-At-Nite decided to stop it...but TV Land will have it for a 48 hour marathon around Thanksgiving. Oh, and Roseanne isn't going to Nick-At-Nite, and I never heard anything about Full House, TBS airs it too much if u ask me! The Cosby Show will come March, 2002 though, if you like that...and some talk about the show "Fame" is going on, along with "The Golden Girls"...but I'd doubt it. There was talk about The Ropers and Three's A Crowd coming to Tv land last month, but the fandemonium of Three's Company was postponed!!! Oh, and "Empty Nest" will be coming to the network soon also.

Roseanne is coming in 2003, it will air on Oxygen too. Full House is slated to come 2004, but that could be Nickelodeon or who knows maybe even TNN.
Golden Girls?? I doubt it, Lifetime would never give it up.
Why would Nick at Nite show "Fame," it is not a sitcom.
The Three's Company fandemonium was not postponed, it was never scheduled for Nov 3-4, I misread it. It is coming Dec 29-30 though.

TV Land has all the shows that made Nick at Nite "Nick at Nite" now...

DVD, MTM, Lucy, Get Smart, Taxi, (in December)...

And I never really liked the 80s shows that much anyway.

You guys let's just remember that TV Land is an extension of Nick at Nite. When the network first began it was called "Nick at Nite's TV Land"
