I vote for Spike, why Spike over Angel? Because Spike still loved Buffy even as a soulless creature, when Angel lost his soul and became Angelus, his true feelings towards Buffy were let out of the bag. Plus, Buffy actually could have had something of a future with Spike

I always thought it was lust more than love between Buffy and Spike. Atleast with Angel, Buffy wasn't ashamed of being with him. When she was with Spike, she kept it hidden.

I don't think Buffy is capable of having a soul mate. Every relationship she was in got ruined by her identity of being the slayer.

I voted Angel. I wasn't really ever a big Spike fan, and can't understand why so many fans are. But if I had to choose Buffy's REAL soulmate, it would be (Don't shoot!) Riley.

Angel is hotter, but lets face it... He was teen love. Spike was the real thing.

I think the "Immortal" should be added to this poll.

I agree. Buffy belongs with Angel. Spike bored me when he became good. I found him a lot more interesting as Buffy's nemesis, when he was in love with Druscilla. Plus, Buffy had so much chemistry with Angel.

I agree. Buffy and Spike were about lust. Buffy often seemed ashamed and degraded after being with Spike. The scenes were not romantic or sweet. They were about lust.

I really didn't know who to choose because they both have such an interesting storyline to themselves. Angel with the Gypsy curse and being punished with a soul and the Spike and Drusilla storyline was great from the moment Drusilla bit William. All in all I am going to say Spike just because he's more badass.

I think that Angel was Buffy's soul mate, but they showed Spike's love for her more.. it's sort of hard to explain. Angel will always be Buffy's first love and she'll always love him. But because Buffy didn't fall into Spike's arms, Spike had to SHOW his love for her more.
