Fanfic I wrote with Kelly - Baby Boy

We start off at County General Hospital in San Fracisco California where Inspector Jinny Exstead was giving birth to her first child.

Doctor- Ok give me one more big push and you will have yourself a baby.

Jinny pushed with all her might while squeezing Hank's hand very hard. Hank is her boyfriend and father of her baby. She is also squeezing Inspector Magda Ramirez's hand. She is her partner and best friend. Jinny screamed as she pushed. Then, it was over. Jinny had herself a baby.

Doctor- It's a boy
The doctor placed the newborn on her chest. Jinny grabbed her baby and stared into his eyes. This was the happiest moment of her life. The nurse then took the baby to get him all cleaned up. In the room with Jinny, Hank and Magda was Inspector Candace DeLorenzo, a close friend of Jinny's.

CD- You did it Jinny.
Jinny- Oh my God. I can't believe I have a son.
Magda- Well believe it. When he cries during the night, you will definitly know you have a son. *Laughs*
Nurse- You had better tell all those people out there waiting for you that you have a son.
Hank- Ok. I will be right back Jin.

He kissed before he left the room to go tell everyone his son has been born.

As he was walking out, he noticed something. Something that he hadn't found out. So he went back in to talk to Jinny. And before he could talk to Jinny he heard this.
Jinny-Mag, I don't know about this. You know I remember from my meetings all these mothers who are sorry that they're still drinking, and sorry that they ruined their kid's lives, but I don't want that to be me.
Magda-You're not that person anymore Jin.
Jinny-Yeah I am Mag. Most the time I am.
Magda-So what are you so afraid of? Drinking? All you have to do is keep going to meetings, and keep with the program.
Jinny-Actually, there's something I gotta tell you Mag. I haven't been going to meetings.
Magda-How long?
Jinny-Well....
Magda-HOW LONG?!?
Jinny-9 months....::says hoping that Magda will not get mad::....maybe longer.
Magda-So you weren't going to meetings while you carried your baby?
Jinny-No, and that's not the worst part....
Magda-Jinny, you didn't?
Jinny-I did....I drank while I carried him.
Magda-Why? And why didn't you tell me about this before?
Jinny-Because I didn't want Hank to know. He knows about the recovering drug addict and alcoholic....I just thought if he knew....he might take my baby and run....you know?
::Hank has just about had it and comes in::
Hank-You should have given yourself more credit. I would never leave you. How could you think that?
Jinny-You were spying on me?
Hank-No I came in to find out what you decided to name our baby.
Jinny-Oh, ok.....his name is.....Zachary Lawerence Exstead-Riley.
Hank-Why Lawerence?
Jinny-The name just means alot to me. I'm sorry if it offends you. You can change it if you want...
Hank- No what you want to name him is fine with me. What you like, I like.
Jinny- Thanks. It means a lot to me.
Hank- But anyway, why on earth would you think I would leave you? I love you.
Jinny- I love you too. I thought you would think I was an unfit mother for drinking while I was pregnant.
Hank- Well I am not happy about what you did. You could have hurt the baby. But I understand why you didn't tell me.
Jinny- You do?
Hank- Of course. But I still love you.
Jinny- Thank you for understanding.
Hank- No what you want to name him is fine with me. What you like, I like.
Jinny- Thanks. It means a lot to me.
Hank- But anyway, why on earth would you think I would leave you? I love you.
Jinny- I love you too. I thought you would think I was an unfit mother for drinking while I was pregnant.
