Has Everybody Loves Raymond become another Seinfeld in the making??? The show, which was at one time funny, has now become stale in my opinion. I liked it whenever Ray and Debra and Frank and Marie and Robert got together and made the show funny. But ever since the so-called wedding between Robert and Amy,I have not been watching. And in previews,Amy is not seen at all. I thought that Ray Romano was basing the show after his real life but the past year or so,it hasn't been very funny. The years 1996-2003 are downright funny. They should focus more on the kids a little bit more than the regular family as Ally is 13 now,and the twins are 10 years old. What does everyone think about the show going downhill???

In my opinion, it's not going downhill. Yes, some episodes can be a bit stale, but I'm still enjoying the show. I'm really glad that there will be a 9th season.

Next year the show may become like Friends and produce less than 22 episodes. Ray Romano wants to end it but his co-stars and CBS do not. With that said its hard for the show to be as good as it was if the star of the show's heart isn't in to it anymore.

The best thing about ELR is that Ray Romano was a natural sitcom actor. Unlike Jerry Seinfeld, who was never convincing though his show was hysterical, Ray Romano was always good at making this whiny self-centered everyguy believeable and a lot of fun.
ELR has been its funniest the last 3 years (before this one). I can point out episode after episode, if you'd like. |
