Loved this show. How many seasons did it aire?
Does anyone know how many seasons Picket Fences aired?
This is an excellent show which I would reccomend to anyone who loves dramas along the lines of Boston Public and Everwood. Really. |

Picket Fences aired from 1992 to 1996.
So that sounds like four seasons, I guess.

Picket Fences aired for 4 seasons. The first 3 were penned almost entirely by David E Kelley (Season 2 was a work of art) before he threw in the towel to Jeff Melvoin fresh from killing Northern Exposure (by the hiring of Paul Provenza) he presided over a season with only one good episode, the one where the Pope visit's Rome (wis) and is witness to a murder.
I don't blame Melvoin for the fourth season decline though, I blame Kelley who seems absolutely unable to work with others on writing a show, then he stops cold and hands over the reigns to people who either never worked on the show before, or perhaps they did, but because he was so prolific they never ever got a chance to write anything. Once Kelley's name is off the writing credits, ditch the show, it's done! |
